SYNOPSIS OF
ISO 9001/AS9100

ISO 9001/AS9100 specifies the requirements for an aerospace Quality System.

The requirements of the ISO 9001/AS9100 are found in clauses 4 through 8 of the standard, and follow the "Process Approach"established in ISO 9001:2000.

ISO 9001/AS9100 is comprised of all the requirements of ISO 9001: 2000, with additional requirements specific to the aerospace industry. ISO 9001/AS9100 also references additional guidance documents used for developing elements of the Quality Management System (ISO 10007 • Configuration Management).

Additional requirements may be specified by the customer and should be referenced as part of the quality management system (i.e.: Boeing Approved Process Sources • D1-4426, Boeing • BQMS - D6-82479, etc.)

AccessQMS Assigned Consultants develop only custom quality/environmental management systems for their clients. Each QMS/EMS is developed to reflect the specific processes of their client's organization. Since most of their clients choose to incorporate these requirements into their existing QMS, it is not possible to provide a stand-alone example of such a system.

Additionally, each QMS/EMS is client specific, and is therefore proprietary to the client and their operations. We cannot, by contract with our clients, and in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001-2000, clause 7 • Product Realization, sub-clause 7.5.4 • Customer Property, share any information relevant to a client's QMS/EMS.
